What is the difference between clicks and unique clicks?
Updated Oct 7, 2026
Clicks count every visit to your link. Unique clicks count each visitor once per day, no matter how many times they click.
- Clicks (total clicks) count every time someone follows your link, including repeat visits.
- Unique clicks count each visitor once per day, however many times they click that day.
A large gap between the two usually means people are returning to the link or clicking it repeatedly. Unique clicks give a better sense of reach, while total clicks show overall engagement.
Both numbers exclude detected bots and crawlers by default, and you can view them for any date range in the link’s analytics.
