Can I choose my own short link alias?

Updated Oct 7, 2026

Yes. Instead of a random slug you can set a custom alias such as /summer-sale, on a ShortGo domain, a premium short domain or your own domain.

Yes. When creating or editing a link in Links → New link, type your own custom alias (for example /summer-sale) instead of using the random slug.

An alias has to be unique on its domain, so if it’s already taken, try a variation. You can use it on:

  • a default ShortGo domain
  • a premium short domain (plan feature)
  • your own custom domain, such as go.yourbrand.com

Readable aliases are easier to remember, say out loud and trust. Check the pricing page to see which domain options your plan includes.
